LET IS SNOW!
TODAY, WE HAD A FEW FLURRIES WHIPPING AROUND IN DETROIT. I REMEMBER GROWING UP AND MY DAD TEACHING ME HOW TO PROPERLY RECOVER FROM A SPIN OUT. I PRIDE MYSELF IN BEING ABLE TO ROCK A CAR OUT OF A SNOW DRIFT. GROWING UP IN MASSIVE AMOUNTS OF SNOW MADE IT EASY TO SLAM DUNK ON THE DRIVEWAY COURT AS WE SHOVELED ALL THE HEAVY SNOW INTO ONE GIANT MOUND. I LOVE HOW THE SNOW REFLECTS PINK, PURPLE AND ORANGE IN THE EARLY MORING SKY. I DONT MIND THE FIRST SNOW OR THE SECOND, BUT I MIND WHEN THE SNOW BECOMES SLUSHY AND GREY.
I WOULD LOVE TO LIVE IN THAT IMAGINED, COZY HOUSE AND HAVE HOT CHOCOLATE WAITING WHILE MY CHEEKS THAWED OUT. IN REALITY MY HOUSE IS IN FULL CHRISTMAS SWING LIKE THE NORTHPOLE JUST BLEW UP. MY HUSBAND JACK STILL LIKES TO SHOVEL OUR DRIVEWAY BECAUSE IT REMINDS HIM OF HIS YOUTH, HEADING OUTSIDE TO CLEAR THE PATH FOR THEIR FAMILY CARS TO PASS. REMEMBER IN THIS SEASON OF GREAT BEAUTY, BE AWARE OF NEIGHBORS WHO MAY NEED YOUR HELP SHOVELING SNOW, SALTING ICE PATCHES OR A HAND TO KEEP THEM STEADY! IN MICHIGAN SNOW JUST MAKES US TOUGHER, BUT STILL KIND!
